News alert: Trump aides discussed Proud Boys and Oath Keepers in planning meetings for Jan. 6 rally, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson said

Hutchinson, an aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadow, said in her testimony to the Jan. 6 committee that Trump aides spoke of fears of violence on Jan. 6, 2021, the day Congress was set to formally count the votes that showed President Joe Biden had won the 2020 presidential election. "I recall hearing the words 'Oathkeeper' and the words 'Proud Boys,' closer to the planning of the January 6 rally when Mr. (Rudy) Giuliani would be around," she said. |
