cancellation policy Right to Cancellation You may cancel your declaration of agreement within a limited time period of 14 days without giving reasons in writing (e.g. letter, fax, email) or - if the goods were ceded to you prior to this deadline - by returning the goods. The start of this limited time period begins after the receipt of this notice in writing. However, in cases involving long-distance order contracts (§ 312b Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 BGB - German Civil Code) for the delivery of goods, the time period shall not begin prior to the receipt of goods by the recipient. In the case of long-distance order contracts for the provision of services, the time period shall not begin prior to contract conclusion. In both cases, the limited time period does not begin before the fulfilment of our information obligations, according to Article 246 § 2 in connection with § 1 Paragraphs 1 and 2 EGBGB - Introductory Act to the German Civil Code. Sending the goods or the cancellation request within the prescribed time limit is sufficient to meet the deadline. Consequences of Cancellation In the case of a valid cancellation, the services received by either party must be returned and, where applicable, any benefits that may have accrued (e.g. interest) are to be surrendered. If you cannot return the received goods/services to us, either in part or in whole, or if you can only return them in a deteriorated condition, then you must pay compensation to us for this lost value as the case may be. This may mean that you nevertheless have to fulfil the contractual payment obligations for the time period prior to the cancellation. This does not apply to the cession of goods if the deterioration of the goods arises solely from their examination - as would have been possible in a retail store. In addition, you can avoid the obligation to pay compensation for lost value due to deterioration resulting from normal use of the product, by not using the item as you would your personal property and refraining from any action that could reduce the product?s value. Items suitable for package delivery are to be returned at our risk. Obligations regarding reimbursement of payments must be met within 30 days. The start of this time period begins for you with the sending of your cancellations request or goods, and for us with their receipt. Special Note In the case of long-distance order contracts concerning the provision of services, your right to revocation expires prematurely if the contract is satisfied in full by both parties upon your explicit request before you have exerted your right to cancellation. - End of Cancellation Policy - The preceding right to cancellation is not valid if the legal transaction can be attributed to your commercial or business activities, and/or you concluded the contract in a store.
