Senate Judiciary Committee calls for new FBI investigation of Brett Kavanaugh, one-week delay for full Senate vote

  The Senate Judiciary Committee called on President Donald Trump to open a new FBI background investigation into Brett Kavanaugh while delaying a full Senate vote on his nomination to the Supreme Court for one week. Trump said earlier Friday he would be open to a new investigation.
