Bernie Sanders-backed Democrat Andrew Gillum wins Florida primary, could become state’s first black governor

  The Tallahassee mayor won the Democratic primary for Florida governor on Tuesday night, pulling off an upset against better-known candidates. Gillum, who could become the state's first black governor, will now face Rep. Ron DeSantis, a three-term congressman backed by President Donald Trump.
