The move followed weeks of turmoil in the department, including an attempt by some of Shulkin's top aides to persuade members of Congress to seek his dismissal after an investigation found he had improperly accepted Wimbledon tickets and airfare for his wife during a European trip last year. He will be replaced by Ronny Jackson, a Navy admiral and Trump's personal physician.
