Happy Social Media Day, everyone! At first we were worried when Donald Trump's live events started to lose their bombast; lately, the @realDonaldTrump Twitter account  is looking a bit too slick as well. Let's have a 140-character moment of silence for what once was. Hopefully someday we can make Trump Trump again. In today's FTR: more hatred for the candidates we all chose, Bern-mentum heads to Orlando, and Mitch McConnell calls Donald Trump "incredible." (Or something along those lines.) Let's go:

Coming soon: Four straight years of feeling all cranky and tired every afternoon

Have you ever packed yourself a lunch in the morning, then opened the bag at noon and thought, "Ugh, why did I pack this?" That's kind of like what American voters are going through right now, except they have packed themselves two unappetizing options for lunch, and now they'll pick one to eat for the next 1,461 days.

We already knew that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are disliked by historic margins, but a new poll  says Americans don't think either one would make a good president. The Quinnipiac University poll showed that 58% of registered voters don't think Trump will do well; 53% said the same of Clinton. The poll's results fell along the usual party lines, but independents don't think Trump (59%) or Clinton (60%) have any chance of getting their faces carved into a mountainside.

Among the poll's other findings:

By a 13-point margin, voters think Trump would be better at handling ISIS
By a 12-point margin, voters think Trump would be better at creating jobs
By a 9-point margin, voters think Clinton would respond better to an international crisis
By a 9-point margin, voters think Clinton would make the right decisions regarding nuclear weapons
By a 5-point margin, voters think Clinton would be better at handling immigration
By a 3-point margin, voters think Clinton would be better at getting things done in Washington
By a 2-point margin, voters trust Clinton on sending U.S. troops overseas

Overall, Clinton leads Trump by 2 points in a one-on-one matchup - which is within the margin of error, and Trump's best showing in a major poll in weeks. Clinton also leads the field by 2 over Trump when competing against Libertarian Gary Johnson, Green Party's Jill Stein, stale 6-day-old pizza and microwaved fish.

Philadelphia road trip takes detour to Orlando

The much-anticipated floor fight at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia might be called off if the Platform Committee adopts a significantly more progressive platform next week in Orlando. (Bernie: "Hey, are you kids thrilled that all our dreams might come true in Orlando?" Supporters: "Aww, we had our hearts set on a dramatic floor fight in Philadelphia.")

"The middle class of this country has been in decline for 40 years and we need to make it clear that we stand with working families in this country and we are prepared to take on powerful special interests," Sanders told USA TODAY. "That is what the Democratic Party has got to stand for."

Sanders said he was optimistic about the initial draft of the platform based on the document approved Saturday in St. Louis by the 15-member Platform Drafting Committee, but wants to see it approved by the full 187-member Platform Committee July 8 and 9 in Orlando. Among the provisions he's seeking: "clear language" on a $15-an-hour minimum wage, action to fight climate change, and opposition to the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal . It's the final component that may turn off many establishment Democrats. President Obama has fought hard for the TPP, and some Dems are worried that official opposition from the president's own party might be embarrassing for everyone involved. So much for the nice, media-friendly Hillary coronation ... looks like the floor fight might still be on.
