Minimum wage increased by $15.80 per week

Fair Work Commission raises minimum wage
Australia's lowest paid workers will receive a 2.4 per cent pay increase, following the annual minimum wage decision.

The Fair Work Commission has lifted the national minimum wage from $656.90 a week or $17.29 an hour, to $672.70 a week or $17.70 an hour.

It constitutes an increase of $15.80 per week.

More than 1.8 million people who are on the minimum wage will receive the increase from July 1.
